No due dates. Just strongly suggested so you stay on track to finish by the end of the semester. There are only 8 weeks left!!!

Where can I find the topics about the presentation, exam, and cultural paper? And where do I turn them in? My apologies for asking this so late.

Hi Isaac! Do you check your Maricopa student email account? If you didn't get them there, email me at james.abraham@gccaz.edu and I'll forward.

Hello, I am working on Superlatives and in the 3rd section, I am having a hard time catching it. If I put ísimo it isn't always right and I am at a stump is there a chug and plug method or a pattern I am missing?
James Abraham said

No, you also have to match for gender and number since these are adjectives. They must match the noun they modify. Watch out for the slightly irregular ones. You should find them in the resources.

Hi all,
Just a couple of comments to help the wiki work better.
Please put your questions under the module topic. You can get to the list by clicking on Subject by Topic. This will help organize the questions to the topic and make it easier to find the answers. They also might already be there from last semester.
Please include the actual questions from the assessment in your post. This way we won't have to open the assessment ourselves to see the questions. Also include your answers so we might see where you are getting it wrong.
The wiki can become a really good tool for answering your questions and having a dialog.

Sample questions are posted on my website. Just email me with some possible times. I'm pretty flexible this summer. You can do the interview on the phone or skype.

So the actual work that we do is on this page http://jtabraham.org/spanish102/102modules.aspx?username=racheltrapple@yahoo.com?Is it the blu3e hyperlinks? Because I clicked on three and did all three and it never changed status from "Available" to the "completed" date. Im afraid I may be wasting time and not getting credit and Ive already been here almost two hours trying to become familiar with this set-up and it still seems hard. Any feedback appreciated.
"Hit refresh after completing an assignment to change Available to the completed date."

Let's get one to submit correctly before you move on. Go to: http://jtabraham.org/spanish102/. Enter your username and password. Click on Food Vocabulary. Complete the activity. When you have 100%, you'll see two boxes at the bottom. Enter your username/password and submit. If everything is working correctly, you should see a message something like "You have submitted. You may close this window." Close that window/tab. Back at the main page, click refresh. The date should appear. Let me know via email how it goes.

Apparently the click and drag games/matching games are going to be a problem for me. It might be my internet speed. I tried yesterday and it would take like 10 minutes to see the food item appear in the box, computer would bog down and not move. Same thing happened today and all other programs were closed. I tried firefox and chrome.
The "listening reading and writing" activities did fine, but the never "saved" I looked all over for a "submit, refresh, save" or anything and it never appeared to have credited to my module. I even logged out and logged in to see if it had registered and it didn't. It WILL grade or evaluate my answers and allow me to correct but nothing more. I am going to run a scan and hopefully it is going to work again later. PS I did try three of the matching games and the same behavior.

This is great information, Rachel. What browser are you using? How old is your computer? What kind of Internet connection do you have? The bottom line is to study the vocabulary words. That is the most important thing so there is still plenty for you to do. We'll figure out how to make the assessments work for you. Don't stress. Just study. Worry less about completing the module and more about learning the words. That is the ultimate goal.

I am having a problem with the third video questions on listening 1. He is saying the chile relleno is bathed in salsita de tomate I believe. I've entered in salsa de tomate and salsita de tomate. I've entered in all kinds of variations. Is he saying something different? Is it me or is it looking for a certain spelling I am not doing?
Thanks in advance!

I am having a problem with opening the listening for the exam, it says it is unavailable. It is also showing up in my modules that I didn't get credit for the listening, reading, and writing when I did them.
James Abraham said

It looks like the video for the exam went down. I'll have to find something else. Try again next week. I haven't coded them to show that you have completed them. If you completed them and the page said "You may close this window," you're good.

I am having a problem with number 13. ¿Puedes entregar esta actividad?
I looked at your previous answer to this question and I am not using a gerund, I'm including estoy, and including the DO as la. I have tried every possible combination of these, including every accent mark possible, what am I missing?
James Abraham said

This is an example with an infinitive in it. Review the other questions that have an infinitive and follow the same format. Be sure to flip the verb. Without seeing your answers, I can´t know what you´re doing wrong. Be sure to include your answers so I can see where you are wrong. Don´t guess. Do you need an accent? Why or why not?

Not mine, but the language. Review the accent marks when you attach to the end.
Roger P said

That is the most difficult part of the language - knowing when to add an accent just by the sense of the phonetics of the word! One wonders what a native speaker hears when we misplace emphasis.
James Abraham said

It is very important. We have stress in English which changes the meaning of a word. Take for example the word record. Say that word out loud. Which did you say? RE-cord or re-CORD.
He just broke a world record.
We record music on the computer.
It's the same in Spanish. Take HA-blo or ha-BLO.
Yo hablo ruso. I speak Russian.
Ella habló ruso. She spoke Russian.
So learn those accents!!!!

I am sorry - I get the verbs and meaning changes, it's the pronoun Nosotros that puzzles me: NOSOTROS nos conocíamos.
